The VanDemark Rods History
The beginning
It all started with a young man, Shane VanDemark, learning the finer values of the hard earned dollar, by working at his father’s tackle store, Angler’s Discount. Here is where we open with the beginning of history being made where a father and son built the foundation of Fishing Tackle Unlimited by buying and exporting fishing tackle as well as repairing and selling refurbished fishing equipment.
History in the making
Shane and his father alongside each other began the historical journey of building customized fishing rods together. VanDemark rods started the uplifted appreciation and attraction to their brand name by having their products sold within many retail shops located in Texas and Florida.
Great Partnerships
A business relationship was formed with ABU Garcia, a well-known and established fishing reel and equipment company founded in Sweden, which is now owned by Pure Fishing, INC. in the United States. This great relationship yielded the production of 1200 fishing rods per month for a period of over two years.
A Time Tested Logo
In the late ’90s, the original logo for VanDemark Rods was produced and the vision of the future for our business was set in stone. From here on out we continued our relationships and produced the finest range of rods from freshwater rods, saltwater, and fly fishing rods.
